Lauro Golf will hold its Club Day on Sunday 15 November with the eighth edition of the Volvo Vypsa Tournament, a golf tournament in Malaga that brings together competitive golf, good food and a prize draw.

Individual Stableford on the A and B loops

The competition will be played as an individual Stableford, with a shotgun start at 9:00 from tees III and V. The field will play holes 1 to 18 of the Alhaurín de la Torre course, which make up the A (holes 1-9) and B (holes 10-18) loops of its 27 holes. Players will compete in three categories: Men’s 1st, Men’s 2nd and Ladies.

Breakfast and barbecue included

The day gets under way before the first tee shot with a breakfast buffet served from 7:15 to 8:45, and ends with a barbecue after the round. Both are included in the entry fee: members pay their green fee plus €45, while non-members pay €95.

Prizes and a Volvo weekend draw

Prizes will go to the top two finishers in each category, the best scratch player and the best player under 18 handicap. There will also be several nearest-to-the-pin and longest-drive prizes for men and women.

One of the highlights will come at the end of the day with a prize draw among all players, which includes a weekend behind the wheel of a Volvo. Full prize details will be announced in the coming days.

Entries can be made by contacting the club from Monday 26 October at 8:00 until 12 November at 17:00.

Players who want to get some practice in beforehand can check the course’s current rates and book a tee time online ahead of 15 November.
