Lawn Bowls is a traditional sport originated in the twelfth century, practiced in several countries, reaching enormous popularity in England, especially in the south, where it has thousands of fans. This sport, as it does not require a good physical preparation, is recommended for all ages. Lawn Bowls are usually played outdoors on grass or an artificial grass surface called bowling green. The goal of this sport is to roll asymmetrical balls, called bowls, as close as possible to another smaller ball, usually white in color called a “jack” or “kitty”. The asymmetry of the pin makes the trajectory more curved the slower the speed of the bolus.
Since the beginning of 2009 you can play the popular English sport “Lawn Bowls” at Lauro Golf. The Lawn Bowls club already has almost a hundred members.
